I am now a little bit less ingornant than I was. I e-mailed the great Aaron Donahue about the essay on remote viewing I posted. This is what he had to say: Dear Omni, The "challenge" as you put it, is the important part of all research so long as it involves constructive criticism. My words often bite people in the ass and I like it that way. Once you place my work in perspective with most other remote viewers, you will find that I oppose the status quo within my own field. This is a good thing. If you are going to fully understand what I do as a psychic, then I will suggest that you do it yourself first before any serious research. Learn to remote view and see what can not be described with words. The technology is truly something that reaches beyond the archaic form of learning, teaching, speaking, and writing that you are now being subjected to within the University. My interest at the University had been psychological neuroimminoendocrinology and with great success and understanding of the subject matter at hand, a neurobiologist at Stanford once told me that my interest had no place in our present day world of research due to the predominate paradigms and that this work may require at least 20 to 30 more years of acceptance. Now, the very complex subject matter concerning my work with numbers, psychic functioning, and the paranormal will require more than proof at this time. It will require a major world-wide paradigm shift in order that a few should begin to understand it. This may not occur in our lifetimes. I am basically alone in my understanding thus the meticulous documentation of my work that will be left to others as per review, etc. Here is the best way to describe what I am saying: 1. Years of lecture, theory, and practice are required to understand psychic functioning, remote viewing, and the practical application of non-historical data. 2. Learning any one of the basics of remote viewing and observing the results first hand must be required prior to any documentation, research, and constructive criticism. 3. Once you have mastered any one the aforementioned skills associated with psychic functioning, revisit the "truth" behind linguistics, the occult, and other primitive technologies that involve communication. After all of this, perform the necessary scientific evaluations based upon widely accepted methods of valid research, compile your data, and then write your research paper.
